About me
- I am a Ph.D. Candidate in Department of Statistics at Iowa State University, supervised by Prof. Peng Liu and Prof. Yumou Qiu. [RESUME]
- I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics (dual degrees program) at Colorado State University and East China Normal University in 2018.
- I received my Master’s Degree in Statistics at Iowa State University with project
Gene Co-expression Network Reconstruction with C-level Partial Correlation Graph
in 2019.
My research interests include statistical inference of large scale network, theory for high-dimensional linear mixed-effects model and its applications, distributed learning, multivariate analysis, omics data analysis. The motivation for my research is mostly to develop valuable statistical tools to bring insights on biological and/or health-related real problems. I have been investigating gene networks to identify essential gene functional relationships, analyzing differential abundance of microbes, selecting metabolites with significant effects on biomass and so on.
I have years of work experience as statistician in industry, collaborating with leading industrial scientists to support regulatory approval. I help the cross-functional Data Science team identify and solve problems and apply both classical and modern statistical methodologies to provide insights. I have worked on projects related to Toxicokinetics and Ecotoxicology study. My duty includes, but not limited to, analyzing and reporting data, developing and validating protocol for analysis, reviewing and interpreting regulatory guidelines, preparation of regulatory submissions, reports and manuscripts, and so on. I also conducted research on statistical analysis of avian reproduction study.
I really enjoy rock climbing and swimming. Fully certificated for top-rope and lead belaying. Trying to follow competitive swimming club practice at ISU.
